hi guy, ive got a 98 uk impreza,uprated turbo,fmic,de-cat,running 1 bar boost- 275bhp.usually use mobile1,any recomendations?orb is this ok? only used for daily road use.

hi there, what gearbox oil do you recomend for a 98 classic running 370bhp/ 360ft/lb tourqe, ppg gearbox ect (non dccd)? cheers, wayne

the gears have only done 3-4000 miles but the diffs ect have done alot more!! which one imperticular do you recommend? have got the redline shockproof stuff in my old box but will any of the others be as good as do a few trackdays in the car!

I find the shockproof works awesome on my PPG.

Shame is super super expensive.

it made my old gearbox last quite well mate, but dont know if i really need it in the ppg box?

I always use Redline Lightweight shockproof 75w90 in the Type R... but thats cuz of the dccd, otherwise i would probably use syntrax or something similar as its about half the price!!!

I have some Redline if you need it waYYYnee!!

Shockproof is not recommended for synchros so it doesn't always work.

what oil do you recomend use in escort mk1,2 RS 2000- 2-0 aspirated pinto engine with forged rods+piston's,race shell's group 1 spec / head,rally/race cam


and the gearbox oil ,quaife stratecutt gear's ?

was castrol gtx but engine has been unused for 10-12 years started up twice a year,but oil's have advanced since then.
is on restoration prodject which is almost complete.

hi oil man mine is a 96 wrx jap import ,de-cat,dawsdevice,just under 1-bar boost 270bhp road use (dont do track dont trust my self)

i want to top my engine oil , i dont want to go and order
some, is there any oil that i can use which will mix with my original
oil which is MILLERS fully synthetic cfs 10w40 or will any oil do

all oils mix and a 10w-40 is a common grade, so it should be easy enough to get a top up locally

The Edge is Castrols top stuff, dont bother with Magnatec or GTX... Its basic stuff.

The 5w-40 should be just fine.
